My goal as a portrait photographer is to capture the emotion and personality of my subjects. Whether its family photography, self portraits, candid photography, senior portraits, etc.., raw emotion is what makes the shots. As a photographer, its my job to make people comfortable so that I can bring out their true personality. I would love to capture those special moments for you and provide you with lifelong memories.
Getting engaged is like falling in love all over again. Its a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will be cherished forever. An engagement is likely to be one of the most vivid memories of you and your partners relationship. Engagement photos are an excellent way to announce this magical moment and are a great addition to wedding invitations. I can help you chose a location that fits your needs and personality. For example: a favorite place to hangout or where you shared your first kiss. Whether you want to capture a secret proposal or engagement ceremony, I have you covered during this special moment.
After months of preparation and planning, it is now time to find yourself a creative photographer that can document this momentous occasion. I am that photographer.
Event photography is like telling a story. Whether its a birthday party, concert, baptism, or other event, my goal is to shine light on the focus of this occasion and the important moments within this event. I typically take a more photojournalist approach to shooting but also incorporate candid portraits into the photo-shoot. Will cater to your photography needs.
Maternity Photography documents the relationship between baby and mother-to-be and celebrates the mothers growing family. The whole family can get involved if desired. Its always cute to see the excitement of your other children as they await the arrival of their new sibling. Maternity sessions are typically more intimate and focus on the mother-to-be's beautiful growing belly and her current bond with the baby. I recommend that you book your indoor/outdoor session when you are around 34 weeks pregnant. That way you will be able to show off your baby bump without the fatigue and discomfort that comes in the final weeks of pregnancy.
This is an intimate session for families who love the idea of hospital photography. These shots are some of the first glimpses of your little one and are captured within the first 48 hours of their life. Sessions are conducted after the baby is born and before the family leaves the hospital/birth center. Photo session last about an hour and capture the babies beginnings as well as bonding moments. Often times, this is when siblings, grandparents, and close family come to meet the baby for the first time. Sessions work best during the day when the light from outside can enter the hospital room.
Timing is important; I schedule all newborn sessions between five and fourteen days after birth. There is never an easier time to get those cute curled up poses than in babe’s first two weeks of life. During this time, infants spend most of their time curled up and sleeping. During this window of time, babies are more likely to curl up in “womb-like” poses, stay asleep longer, don’t mind being unclothed, and are usually on a feeding schedule. Newborns sleep about 20 hours a day in the first two weeks and therefore are good candidates for posed photography. After the two week mark, they stretch, move about, and generally become much more active.
This photo-shoot lies somewhere between documentary photography and portrait photography. Lifestyle photos capture real life moments and events. Timing: three to six weeks after birth is an ideal time frame as your child has had time to adjust, is more comfortable with their surroundings, and is more awake (Eyes wide open shots).
